Three thematic tracks. One curated day.
Select your track when you apply. We match you with relevant startups from our international network before the event. On the day, you meet your matches, hear targeted pitches, and explore potential pilot opportunities together.
Some startups may be relevant across multiple tracks. In that case, they may be featured in more than one thematic group to ensure the best possible matches.

Reduce waste, cut energy use, and improve operational performance in industrial processes.
Energy use & process efficiency: Reducing energy consumption and improving efficiency in industrial processes, equipment, or production lines.
Asset performance, uptime & maintenance: Improving reliability, availability, and maintenance of machines and industrial assets to reduce downtime and extend asset lifetime.
Material efficiency, yield & loss reduction: Reducing material losses, scrap, rework, and inefficient use of raw materials, water, or other production inputs.
Production quality & process reliability: Improving consistency, stability, and quality in production processes to reduce variability and defects.
Operational visibility & performance monitoring: Improving visibility on operations through better monitoring, data use, and performance tracking to support operational decision-making.
Reducing operational emissions & energy transition: Reducing emissions from industrial operations, including energy sourcing, process improvements, and practical decarbonisation measures.

Deliver higher-performing buildings through smarter renovation, systems, and data.
Energy efficiency & building operations: Improving energy performance of buildings through better operation, optimisation of systems, and reduction of energy consumption.
Renovation, retrofit & existing building performance: Improving the performance of existing buildings through renovation, retrofit solutions, and targeted upgrades.
Heating, cooling & ventilation systems (HVAC): Optimising heating, cooling, and ventilation systems to improve comfort, efficiency, and operational costs.
Building envelope & insulation performance: Improving façades, roofs, windows, and insulation to reduce heat losses and improve overall building performance.
Monitoring, controls & building management: Improving building performance through monitoring, control systems, and better use of building data.
Low-carbon construction & renovation: Reducing the carbon impact of construction and renovation projects through alternative materials, methods, or design approaches.
Building operations, maintenance & lifecycle performance: Improving long-term building performance through better maintenance, asset management, and lifecycle optimisation.

Strengthen food value chains from farm to fork through traceability, safety, and reliability.
Reliability and efficiency of primary production: Improving efficiency, predictability, and reliability in agricultural production, including inputs, yields, and operations.
Processing efficiency & yield optimisation: Improving efficiency, throughput, and yield in food processing and transformation activities.
Food safety, quality & compliance: Ensuring food safety, quality, and compliance with standards and regulations while reducing operational burden.
Traceability, transparency & data management: Improving traceability and data flows across the food value chain to support quality, compliance, and operational decisions.
Supply chain resilience & logistics: Improving robustness, flexibility, and reliability of food supply chains, including sourcing, logistics, and inventory management.
Resource efficiency & waste reduction in food systems: Reducing food loss, waste, and inefficient use of resources across production, processing, and distribution.
Resilient inputs & production practices: Improving resilience through alternative inputs, practices, or methods that reduce dependency on volatile or scarce resources.
You don't need a brief or a budget signed off. You need a relevant challenge, a decision-maker in the room, and the openness to explore.
* You know your key operational or sustainability challenges
* A decision-maker can attend in Lausanne on April 24
* You're open to investing time and resources if the fit is right
Applying doesn't commit you to anything. The goal is quality conversations.
You have a solution that works. Now you need the right SME partner to explore it with.To participate as a startup, you should:
* Your solution is deployment-ready (TRL 6+)
* You have clear application cases and articulate who your ideal SME partner looks like
* You are ready to deploy in Switzerland
* You can be in Lausanne on April 24
CHF 300
* Price Per Company

Hack Pilot Day is for Swiss based SMEs and ClimateTech startups who want to explore real collaboration opportunities and move toward pilot projects.
Matches are prepared in advance based on your SME’s challenges or your startup’s application cases and the thematic track you select. This is designed to focus discussions on concrete collaboration opportunities.
The event prioritises Vaud based SMEs, but participation will include startups from other regions. SMEs from other regions may participate depending on fit and availability.
